Primary care innovation and service design

Project overview

I led this prototyping sprint as part of a consulting project with an external client, which included building a new patient engagement tool that was piloted across the primary care department.

Background

This project was part of a broader initiative to build innovation skills at an independent community health system. Our team had previously supported the creation of personas. Using traditional human centered design methods, we identified the problems to solve for these personas when accessing health care.

Approach

• Our project team led a brainstorming workshop with key stakeholders from the client to uncover new ideas to transform the primary care experience
• I led the work to synthesize the ideas form the workshop and develop a service design prototype
• Working with our team and primary care leaders, I led the prototyping and design of the digital interfaces in Miro and Figma and mapping of the journey in Miro
• Working with primary care, marketing and IT leaders, I coordinated the build of the pilot tool
