Project overview

A large integrated health system was moving to a new digital experience platform including a new content management system for the public website. I led the work to develop the analytics strategy and set up the new web analytics software.

Challenges & Opportunities

  • The new website provided new functionality that was not available previously
  • We needed new metrics that aligned with our strategic goals and measured the success of these new features

Approach

  • I worked with stakeholders to help define the key metrics, supporting metrics and create the overall analytics framework
  • I co-facilitated brainstorming sessions with marketing, communications, business development and others teams to identify potential new metrics
  • I set up the custom event tagging in Google Tag Manager to send custom event data to multiple web analytics platforms, including SiteImprove
  • I set up the customer feedback surveys using the Press Ganey/Forsta HX platform

Results

  • Key stakeholders could easily build reports to analyze the success of the new functionality and overall digital experience
  • Key digital experience metrics aligned with larger strategic goals
